Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Jim's passing and send heartfelt condolences to his wife and family. Mr. Winkworth was my favorite teacher at Petoskey High School and always encouraged me to get involved and be a leader. He placed and mentored me in student internships with the city planner and mayor's office and even attended my wedding. There is no doubt he was an influence on my life and career path. I often thought of him and meant to reach out to let him know where I ended up, and to thank him.

My cousin Jim wa best man at my wife Jane and my wedding and a life-long friend. We are both deeply saddened by his too early passing. He was one of the most friendly, personable people I have ever known.

Melike and Jim's family and friends remain in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss Jim but we are content to know that we spent happy times with him.

I last saw Jim in Stone Harbor, NJ at his Aunt and Uncle's baech house July, 1975. We had a blast with his cousins, Bob, David and Sally. I have met severeal people in Arizona who knew Jim and spoke highly of him, Jim now rests in a better place.

My wife and I have only known Jim and Melike for a short time but in that period we enjoyed their company and developed a high regard for both of them. Jim cared deeply for Melike and she likewise cared deeply for Jim. We share in the grief and the sorrow at Jim's passing and look forward to helping Melike cope with her loss! Dan and Lou

Jim's untimely death has robbed me of a lifelong dear friend, the son of my German friend Ursula, who also left us at an early age of her life. They have contributed to happy memories and will be dearly remembered for their friendship.
