James Wodecki Obituary
Jim was born in New Britain, Connecticut on March 12, 1948 to Lorraine (Teske) and Joseph Wodecki. Jim was predeceased by his parents as well as his maternal grandmother, Lillian Teske and paternal grandparents Joseph and Joan Wodecki.
Jim graduated from New Britain High School and Middlesex Community College in Middletown, CT. After high school graduation, Jim enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home in 1970, he married Rosemary Tumolo and they enjoyed 52 loving and wonderful years together. To add to their happiness they were blessed with two precious sons, Daniel (1971) and Timothy (1974). He retired from Saft Batteries in 2015 and in 2016 Jim and Rosemary retired to South Carolina which has been their home for the last 7 years.
Besides his loving wife Rosemary, Jim leaves his sons; Daniel James Wodecki (Denise) and Timothy Craig Wodecki (Gina) of Connecticut. His wonderful grandchildren whom he loved and cherished with all his heart, Jordan Michael (Karrianne), Jalen Joseph, Alexis Mariah, Giuliana Marie and Samantha Marie. His loving brothers, Steven (Judith) Wodecki and Richard (Sandra) Wodecki of Little River, SC. Jim also leaves many nieces, nephews, numerous friends and family in both Little River, SC and Connecticut.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory in Little River, SC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A celebration of life will be held in Connecticut at a later date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to honor Jim may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association and would be deeply appreciated.
