Dr. James A. Wood

Mr. Wood was a special man I met at the introduction of his daughter Carol Wood. I experienced a very humble man that apprectiated vintage while wearing his "beatup" cap, with a hobby as a polo player. I am humbled to have my life crossed-paths with him and am truly grateful to have met him in person.

We shared mutual friends, I got to bird hunt with him a few times. I thought his sense of humor was wonderful. Treated me as a friend from the first we met. So long Dr.

Dad, you are greatly missed by all. I especially miss you humor, strength, and your zest for life. You truly are an inspiration and my love for you will never fade. Carol Wood

I can´t believe it´s six years already ... I remember how I met your dad, Jim. I would take my strawberry roan horse up Old Pumpkin Ridge to Corey Road to ride. One day, I was walking him up Old Pumpkin Ridge and your father stopped his car and inquired as to whether I was hurt.. why not riding. I told him what was going on and that´s when he offered to let me keep my horse in one of his outdoor paddocks. We had many laughs about the horses, but one that I will always remember is one...

Children of Dr. Wood as you know you had a dad that loved life. He touched my life in so many ways and helped me to become a successful individual. I will never forget him. He was so proud of all of you.

I adored Jim. He came to Africa to visit my family and I wrote about him in my book.

Wood kids your dad's memorial was so well done! From the stage, Father Tony, the eulogies, Di's speech, singing and film! The ending of the film was perfect! The after party was a great send off. You are all well loved

Jim was always there to help. Always concerned about my family and helped several times through the years in making sure we got best medical care. He would call or I would call him a couple times a year to catch up on what was going on in eastern Oregon. He touched many in Pendleton/Hermiston area.
