James Paul Wood

I served with MSG Wood in GTMO. His dedication to his troopers and the mission were paramount. We had many candid conversations about serving, family and life. A devoted man to our lord. I will miss you dearly my brother in arms. May you rest in peace, and may the lord grant peace to his family during these difficult times.

I had the honor of serving with James in the Alabama Army National Guard in the late 1990's. and early 2000's. He was very intelligent man, good friend and a great Soldier. His family, faith and his country were his priorities. I moved to Texas and lost track of many of my friends in the guard. My hope is that his family find peace in knowing that he left a lasting legacy. May God be with the family.
