Not sure what to say?

Gone but not forgotten, Jungle Jim! You'll always be Coach to me! I wish I had a basketball pic to share, but I don't, so please give my pup a head scratch!

Kathy, Craig and Scott, I just came across this unsettling news 16 years too late, but thought I would share with you and the boys how much Fellow Coach, Hunter, Fisherman and fellow Teacher meant to me. We actually coached Football and Basketball together as I was his JV coach and I coached baseball at OCHS. After many years of teaching, coaching and construction; I have rarely met and continued to have the deep respect and admiration of another coach and friend as I have had with your...

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

Dear Kathy, Craig and Scott,

I am truly sad that I was unable to attend Jim's Celebration of Life at the old O.C. High School and offer my sympathies in person. It was a great surprise to hear from Katy S. on Sunday that Jim had passed away. Kathy, may I offer to you, your boys and their families our condolences and our deepest sympathies. I can't imagine any more difficult loss than that of your best friend and life partner.

All of my family sends you our love and deepest...

Kathy, Craig, and Scott,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Though I did not have Jim for a teacher, I had so many wonderful experiences with him. Whether it was in the hallways, after my basketball practices, or when I was coaching or teaching at OCHS, Jim always had time to talk and share a kind word. How funny too, to come to OCHS as a student and have Jim recognize me as a little girl who received a kitten from your litter in the '70's. I will always have fond memories of Jim, as...

My thoughts are with all of you in Jim's family.

Jim was a good teacher, department chair, coach, and friend to so many at OCHS. He always had a great laugh and pleasant comment for everyone, and he always was willing to go the extra mile for the good of the students - an admirable quality!

I enjoyed working with him over the years at OCHS, and I know he'll be missed by all the students and teachers who knew him.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
