James was Dear friend of mind. Wanted to come to the funeral but at 80 my wife would not let me drive from Jackson,ms to Birmingham alone. I also wanted to meet Mrs. Wright and tell her what a caring man he was and how I will miss his phone calls and our times together.

I met James at JSU. He coached my brothers in AAU at Kurt's Gym. He could talk about you and have you laughing at yourself. Nevertheless, always a gentleman. Definitely one-of-a-kind.
