To the Yancy kids, You all are very aware of the long and wonderful history between our families. Our parents met in San Antonio in the late 1940s (or early 50s) long before any of us came along and maintained a lifelong friendship with many great memories of Easter egg hunts, trips to Port Aransas and countless cookouts and such in our backyards. Dr. Yancy was a gentle and kind man and devoted husband to Lois. And he was one heck of a good (and strict) dentist. He will be missed. ...

Dr. Jim...what a sweet, kind man! I am so sorry to hear of his passing, but I know he made a good life for his beloved family, for whom he was very proud! He loved his fine work in dentistry, but was so comfortable in his love of the great outdoors. My heart is so heavy to hear of the loss of a great man and best boss I ever had. Dr. Yancy was like a second father to me. When we retired I ask him if he was going to miss it, he responded not the work but the patients I will, I said me too. I loved working for Dr. Yancy and our patients were like family. To have a working environment of that kind only comes once in a life time. Our prayers and love go out to the family.

Dr. Yancy. Picked him as my dentist by picking the last dentist in the phone book back in 1972. My first and the very best, most compassionate dentist ever. Have always thought of Dr. Yancy and am praying for him and his family at this difficult time. Rest easy sir.

Our prayers and thoughts are with your family. Our family thought so much of Dr, Yancy. He made us feel that he was not only our dentist but also our special friend. Our children absolutely loved him and always looked forward to their dental appointments. Galen and Jimmie Sue Elolf
