I met Jan & Jay when they first moved to Brevard and into their home in Baytree. We had an instant connection. Over the years I enjoyed Jay's music, his song writing and his witty humor. My heart is heavy with sorrow for Jan and their family for their loss of the living husband, father and friend.
May the many memories of this wonderful man and the experiences you shared together help soothe the pain.

I am one of many librarians around the country who developed a personal as well as professional relationship with Jay around a common interest in making government information available to the public. We all had wonderful times together and remember him with high regard.

We will miss Jay's kind heart and beautiful music. We always enjoyed hearing him play in the praise band at the church. Our prayers and deepest condolences go out to the family and friends.

Jay and I worked together at the U.S. Government Printing Office for seven years (1991-97) and remained good friends after we both retired. Along with many of the nation's librarians, we helped guide the Superintendent of Documents library and sales programs into the 21st century electronic age.
