Not sure what to say?

I have many fond memories of hanging out with Jim at Blythefield, or the "Beautiful Bly" as Jim called it. From his piano playing at the spur of the moment in the members bar until the wee hours to a packed house to partnering with Jim in the Blue Blazer member-member tournament where he relied on using his famous "claw grip" to putt with and we ended up dead last! Regardless, we laughed all the way around the course for three rounds. Marilyn and I last saw Jim at the Brown Bear restaurant...

Here I am again. I am so sad about this loss of yours.. Cannot get you all out of my mind.. I would love some pictures of you all, of Jim, of the kids.. Of you Char.. He thought the world of you.. You know, we lost our most beloved son, Jacob, in 2018 and just now I am beginning to really recuperate. I know you have known heartache as well in the loss of your son. We lost our daughter Gina in 2009.. Jim was so broken about the loss of Daane. My greatest hope is to see our children again and I...

Dear Char,Eric and Amy,I'm so sorry for your loss.We played a lot of golf together. When he moved to Lunington we somewhat lost touch,He was world renown the piano. He could anything by ear.His humorleval was second to none,I could always make him laugh to hear from a family member,Rest in Peace dear friend. The world will never be the same without you!

I was fortunate to know and learn from JIm about the practice of law in Grand Rapids when I was a law clerk then newly admitted attorney working for some lawyers at law offices on the corner of Lyon and Division where Jim's office was located. He was always in good humor and friendly toward me over the years although I did not practice in his specialties or see him except at social events and for an occasional drink after working hours. My condolences to his family. Jim certainly was a...

He was a great, wonderful, fun guy. We used to play poker all afternoon in his law office. I was surprised and delighted when he started playing the piano (with no sheet music) at my 50th birthday party.

Singing around the piano with a Leinenkugel accompanied by Zebo was always a fun, fine time. RIP Jim.

Jim was a client of mine years ago. He always was fun to be with and had so many great stories. His ability to develop a good personal relationship with you made dealing with him professionally easy. In so many cases, the legal relationship developed into a friendship.

A real loss for the Grand Rapids legal community. Grand Rapids has had many lawyers, many good lawyers, but Jim Zerrenner was one of a handful of GR attorneys who could be classified as an institution within our bar.

Met Jim about 70 years ago when we were kids playing baseball on a dirt lot in Rhinelander, Wi. It Seems like yesterday and his passing is a shock. Have many fond memories of Jim. Some of his stories and experiences are very entertaining and put a smile on my face when I think of them. My deepest condolences to Jim´s family For your loss. He will be missed by many.
