James Danzo “Jimmy” Zimmer, 16, of 111 13th Street, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, in the Town of Black Wolf, Winnebago County as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born August 5, 1985, in Beaver Dam. Jim was currently attending Fond du Lac Senior High School where he would have been a senior. He was a member of the Varsity Wrestling team and the Fond du Lac Stoutmen Rugby club. He was employed at the Scott Street Pick N’ Save, and also as a babysitter. Jimmy enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and paintball.

He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Danzo and her special friend, Lenny Abhold of Fond du Lac, two brothers, David Heebner of Minneapolis, and Ronnie Zimmer of Fond du Lac, and a sister, Dawn Whipple and her husband, Richard, of Fond du Lac, and a nephew, Forrest Whipple, of Fond du Lac. Further surviving are his maternal grandmother, Irene Danzo of Lansing, MI, aunts, uncles, cousins, a close friend, Mick Burroughs, of Fond du Lac, and his pet chinchilla, Chi Chi. His maternal grandfather preceded him in death.

Visitation for James Danzo Zimmer will be on Sunday, July 28, 2002, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word services will be on Monday, July 29, 2002, at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate and burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.
