Not sure what to say?

Condolences and warmest regards to you, Frank Trefny. So many happy memories of the times you, Jim, and I spent together at your lovely home in Newark, on the DE shore near Lewes, and hunting for antiques in Mullica Hill.

At ballet Etudes, he was the most wonderful dancer. I loved watching his work and even loved dancing with him more. So sorry he is gone. Georgia Sparks

My deepest sympathies to Frank. I am so sorry to hear of James' passing. He had a tremendous influence on me as a dancer at Ballet Etudes. So happy to have seen both of you several years ago at ABT in New York.

In the early 1960s, I danced with Jim in productions by Ballet Etudes in Norwalk, Connecticut. I admired him as a classical dancer, a character dancer, and a talented costumier. We went our separate ways in our professional careers but reconnected via e-mail and telephone in our old age. Through frequent exchanges, we quickly grew to be close, close friends. I loved having him in my life, and I shall miss him sorely.

I worked with Jim at the Dupont Company, while I was in the Finance Department. Whenever we met, he always made me smile. He was a very special person, and I am sadden by his passing.

One of my favorite people. I will miss his wit and smile. Though I did not know him well I know he loved life and you Frank.

My deepest sympathy to Frank, Joyce and the many people whose lives he touched. I was one of the many people he helped along the way. Not only was he very willing to offer help, he was amazingly good at it. I always considered him kind of a superman because of his astonishing array of talents. Mainly though, I will miss is kindness, his gentle but sharp wit, and particularly his warm friendship. I am a better person for having known him. Rest in Peace, Jim. We love you.

Jim and I shared in the joy and hard work of costuming the Delaware Dance Company's beautiful dancers. I cannot express what an impact Jim made on all of us at the Delaware Dance Company. I considered him a dear friend and will always be grateful for his dedicated support during those demanding times. My thoughts and prayers go out to Frank. Mr. Zynda was a very special person.
