Davis Greenlawn Funeral Chapels and Cemeteries Obituary

Jamie Cunningham passed away unexpectedly in his family home on December 1, 2015 in Damon, TX at the age of 35. Jamie is survived by his parents Linda Cunningham and David Mylet of Renfrew, Scotland, United Kingdom; wife, Darah Cunningham; children, Emma Cunningham, Connor Cunningham, Corinne Szymanski, Jace Butler; siblings, Alan Cunningham and Lindsay Mylet both of Renfrew, Scotland, United Kingdom. Jamie was born on May 30, 1980 in Renfrew, Scotland. He graduated from Renfrew High School. He married Darah Duplechain Cunningham, his soulmate & best friend, in Houston, TX on his birthday, May 30, 2008. He was a devoted husband, and they spent every anniversary in the hill country of Fredericksburg, TX. Jamie and Darah were blessed to have a blended family with four beautiful children. His children remember him as a kind, loving and gentle father who encouraged them to pursue their goals and taught them many things about life. Jamie was an accomplished Carpenter and often displayed his fine craftsmanship remodeling homes and refinishing furniture. He was a dedicated and generous individual who loved his friends and family and who was passionate about the Celtic Football Club, cooking, gardening, hunting, and fishing. Jamie was witty, the life of the party, and a true Scottish gentleman. He was an active member of the Creekside Christian Fellowship Church, which his neighbors Brian and Diane Davidson introduced him to. A memorial service is scheduled for December 11, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Creekside Christian Fellowship Church with a reception to follow at the same location at 16628 Hwy 36 Needville, TX 77461. Pastor Greg Garcia will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jamie's life. In lieu of flowers, cards and donations can be sent to the family at 11152 Westheimer #264 Houston, TX 77042. The family would like to thank all of our neighbors, friends and family, our church Creekside Christian Fellowship and Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home for their efforts and support during this time.
