Jamie Francis Jones Franklin

Jamie Francis Jones Franklin, age 77, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023 in Gretna, La. Born in New Orleans on June 2, 1946, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Rosemary Jones. She is preceded in rest by her husband of 60 years, Billy Franklin, Sr., Granddaughter Brandie Franklin, Brothers, Sisters, Family and Friends. May they all be joined together in Gods Heavenly Kingdom. She was a co-owner of Franklins Auto Repair where she was "the Boss" who took care of everyone and everything. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joseph Church in Gretna La. She adored St. Joseph for being the Protector of the Holy Family and it's how she lived her life, as the Protector of all. Our mom cared and loved deeply. She was always willing to help those in need. She was country music lover who sang at the Grand Ole Opry and many clubs around New Orleans. As an artist, JLyn wrote and recorded two songs, and always enjoyed the holidays with her musical family where concerts were always held in the living room. It made everyone so happy to see them enjoying their family and friends. She is survived by two sons, Billy Jr. (Leslie), and Bobby (Nicole) Franklin, 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren whom she adored and loved very much. Rest in Peace Mom, we Love you so much and will miss you. You are forever in our hearts and prayers. A Celebration of her life will be held with the date to be determined and notifications will be sent out.You may sign the guest book on http://www.gertrudegeddeswillis.com. She was a great friend, the first family John met when he moved to NOLA from B’ham. I tried calling her cell phone , it said there was a new number, unlisted. I was suspicious then that something had happened. I am so sorry Billy & Bobby, you had a great Mom & she will truly be missed, Love , Tammy.

Rest in peace Aunt Jamie...your are loved and will truly be missed...
