Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary


NASSAR, JAMIL, Flint Township Age 70, died Thursday, November 16, 2017.


Funeral service will be held 10am Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at St. George Orthodox Church, 5191 Lennon Road, Flint, The Very Reverend Father George Shalhoub officiating.


Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. George Orthodox Church.


Visitation 3-8pm Monday at St. George Orthodox Church. A Trisagion Service will be held 8pm Monday evening at the church. Family hour visitation 9am Tuesday at church until the time of the service.


Jamil was born in Palestine on February 1, 1947, the son of Farid and Houda (Hussary) Nassar. He married Victoria in Palestine in 1971. Lived in Toronto Canada then moved to Flint, Michigan to start a new life in 1975. Jamil was a member of St. George Orthodox Church and he retired from General Motors working 29 years until 2004. He had a passion for cars, working on them, buying and selling them. He loved hunting and fishing.


Surviving are wife, Victoria; children, Heather and Alexandra; brother, Karam and wife Aida;
sisters-in-law, Samira, Laura, and Olga; brother-in-law, Victor Abou-Nimer and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Souheil Nassar, Khader Nassar, Nassar Nassar and Sammy Nassar and sisters, Siham Abou-Nimer and Souheila Zatoune.
