New London, NH: Jan K. Acard died peacefully at home in New London, New Hampshire with her beloved husband, Benjamin Acard by her side on June 10, 2014.

She was born on December 1, 1946 in Bronx, New York. Jan married Benjamin on July 12, 1975. She is survived by her three children, Adam Acard, Brian Acard and Renee Acard as well as her four grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Lisa, and Carolyn Acard. She is also survived by her loving dog Abbe.

The world has lost one of the most fragrant, sweetest flowers when Jan K. Acard left us. The sweetness and abiding love she had for all and everyone, especially her family. She gave freely of herself, without asking anything in return. All who knew her or met her, were welcomed with the most sincere smile of true love and feeling. The joy she gave, especially to her family will be irreplaceable and her sweet memory will always remain with those of us who loved her and will always love her.

There will be no public services.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Jan's name be sent to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777 New York, NY 10163-4777. Donation ecards can be found at www.michaeljfox.org.
