A poem for Nana,
by Danielle Albright

Nana, we loved your cookies, and your bran muffins too.
You always knew how to cheer us grandkids up when we were feeling blue.
Nana, you liked to spoil us, we know you loved us heaps
We have so many precious memories which forever we will keep.
We’ll always remember your big purse and how you always gave us gum
And how you always gave the best hugs when we were feeling glum.
I loved to watch you “put your...

Jerry and family,
The world had lost a bit of its sparkle. Memories of "Mrs. Albright" are bright, happy and positive.
Our sympathies to Jerry and family and to Jan's sister Kathy and family.

I can't believe we have lost another Standley. What a great family. I will always remember Jan's "Smile and Laughter" My prayers go out to her family. Remeber all the good times and memories and the Good Lord will help you through this.
I lived in the area Jan was raised, and knew her and her family very well.
Prayers and thoughts with each of you.

To Jerry and Kathy, our condolence goes out to you. Rich and I were so surprised to hear Jan had passed away. We are sorry we didn't get to know Jan better. We remember her smiling face, laughter and her patience. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we know our God will sustain you in this sad time. You are loved.

My good rememberance of Jan in Chandler

Jerry and Family, We are sorry to hear that Jan had passed away. She was our favorite teacher, always smiling and making school fun. She always had a possitive attitude no matter what! She will be greatly missed. Jan was one of those people in a person's life that made a difference! May God be with you and your family through this time.

Janice and I were roommates at the 1965 summer NDEA French Institute at the U of M. When we were allowed to leave the French House for a weekend halfway through our studies, Jan invited me to spend the time with her and her family, the Standleys. What a loving, welcoming, hospitable family! I'll always recall with gratitude the invite and ride in Jan's red Volkswagen "bug." One of our classmates took and picture of our standing beside the car before the departure from campus.

Jerry & Kathy ~
Jan was a wonderful person. I can't remember a time at CHS when she didn't have a smile on her face. You could always hear her laughter wherever she was. She will be greatly missed, but a special angle to watch over her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you, remember the wonderful memories.
