Not sure what to say?

beth, how are you doing, such a hard time for your family; I KNOW how long and hard is this journey.......May God continue to hold you close and may you feel his strength and presence..your granddaughter is soo adorable and looks a lot like dear Jan; I can only imagine the joy she brings your life..Sankanac was such a meaningful place for ALL 4 of our kids Tifanee worked there , Matt and Cam were campers for many years, how they loved Mr Jan....and oh Lacey loved you all so much and...

Beth,
We haven't been in touch for so long, but Brenda sent me this news and I am speechless. Please know that you all are in my prayers.

Our hearts are filled with shock and sadness.

Just saw the news at the Sankanac home page of Jan's passing. What a great guy! I was a camper in the 60s and early 70s, Sioux kitchen boy mid-70s, and counselor during my college summers '76-'80. After Dr. Lowrie's wonderful founding legacy, and then Tom Fink's service, it's amazing to think that Jan held down the fort since 1983 - Wow! what a great testimony to his love of kids and sharing Christ with them. I met Jan only twice over the last 15 years when I stopped in, and he was so...

Our prayers are with you during this time of loss. My two summers at Sankanac are precious memories as I learned so much from Jan and Beth. Thank you for making a difference in my life!

So sorry to hear about Jan's death. I grew up on Mill Road with Jan and spent alot of time playing with him when young. I lost contact with Jan when we went to college but will always remember the fun we had as kids. My prayers are with you and and your family.

We will remember Mr. Coudriet's kindness toward our son who has autism. Mr. Coudriet let him work in the kitchen at Camp Sankanac. Our son really enjoys doing food prep/kitchen work and it has been a great experience for him.

Beth & family: So very sorry to hear of Jan's passing. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Sorry to have missed the service.
Love in Christ, Greg & Laurie Morin & family

On one of our winter retreats, kids kept plowing into a tree. Sharing this with Jan he instinctively said, "Should we cut down the tree?" It was not for safety, per se, but so the fun the teens were enjoying could continue...while they were with godly mentors. That is the heart of the man I loved: What will advance the Gospel.
