Not sure what to say?

Dr Fawcett was my instructor for psych at RUSH. Decades later his lecture stands out in my mind. I am sure I passed my psych boards because of his teachings. His attitude to psch patients was ever present. the pharmacology for GABA and serotonin transmiters still stands in my mind as a basis for neurotransmitters. all the case studies he used for psych patients. Most importantly, his attitude adressing psych patients. I interacted with him for patients with psych patients and he was kind. For...

We will always honor the memory of Jan and wish his family the best holiday season. Dan and Kathy Angres.

Thank you for accepting me into your family. Your big, bright smile always let me know everything will be alright. I know you are with Craig catching up on time missed. Katie and family, you are all in my prayers. Love always,

Dear Katie, Jan saved me literally when my mom begged him to accept me for a patient 42 years ago. I´ve always had a special place in my heart for him. You two had us over in 2006 after my mom passed away. You took us to an amazing restaurant & we´re both so gracious. Please know that I would not have been as fortunate to live the life I had without Dr Fawcett. Please know the impact that he had on peoples lives. We share your loss and our best to you and your family. Beth Brigham (Sommers)

Jan was an internationally recognized psychiatrist, and yet he was always approachable humble and available. He was a great mentor and support for me. He was also a good friend. I will always honor his memory.

He saved my life 30 + years ago and I never forgot him and how he helped me.

I was best friends with Craig during our preteen years. Jan and the whole Fawcett family treated me as an extended family member, took me along on vacations to lake Geneva and were very inclusive of me. I´ll always remember Mr. Fawcett as an incredibly kind, generous and even tempered human who I´ve remembered all these years and will continue to do so My sincere condolences to the family for their loss.

Jan is the role model thought leader in Psychiatry. He has mentored several recognized clinicians. His research and patient care is the most exceptional. His persona is always that of a gentle and respectful clinician. He has a participatory management style as a chairman of Psychiatry. He fostered clinical collaboration within his department . Coauthoring an article with him was seamless. We will always miss his presence. Robert and Diana Barkin family

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Love you Katie, Nancy and family.
