Jan Fougner

I was lucky to have known Jan from age 14 to 17. He was a friend and confidant, a brother figure to my own brother. I also had the gift of knowing his parents and siblings during those formative years. When our lives briefly overlapped in California some years ago, Jan, Ragnhild and their 3 children were especially welcoming to me and my family. Jan is one of the finest people I have known, and I will miss his presence in this world. My love and condolences to all, Jane Rea James

I remember a young man coming home with army gear on leave to Garden City, while I was on a sleepover with friend, Cici, the whole family rose up in joy to see him. He was a force in the family then and now.
He will be missed as that force.
