Jan was one year a head of me in high school at Flanagan. I remember Jan playing football. Jan and I did many military funerals for Flanagan American Legion together. I always respected Jan and considered him a friend. He will greatly missing at Saint John's Evangelical Lutheran church in Flanagan.
