Jan Ostrom passed away on November 1, 2021. The world has lost a remarkable woman. I only recently learned of Jan's passing and am so saddened by the news. The world shines less brightly without her presence. I will always think of her smile, her laughter, and her hugs...she made everyone feel as if they were the most important person in the world.

Such a beautiful tribute to Jan. I was able to get to know Jan through Alex and always looked forward to spending time with her. A great intellect matched with a great heart and infectious sense of humor. What was not to admire and love about this great woman! My condolences to all of her dear family and friends.

Part of her pledge to donors was that she would show her gratitude by sending donors a thank you note for the rest of her life. Although the promise was somewhat tongue in cheek, I got an annual thank you note from Jan for several years. They broke the mold after her, for sure. Sending love to...

I had the pleasure and honor of calling Jan my friend for 30 years. She was incredibly kind, witty and funny, and so bright. Talking with Jan was always a delight. My life is forever enriched for having known Jan and the world is a better place for having had her in it. Much love to Alex and the rest of the family.
