Not sure what to say?

For many years I have brought my mother to the Hummel offices and I was very shocked to see that she was missing on our last visit. Even though she is not present in body her kind spirit lives on. I can still hear her voice as she helped many patients, and that corner where she she could be found most of the time will not ever be the same. My prayers and thoughts are with her family and the office staff.

I knew Jan from my eye appointments and she was always friendly and happy to help with my eye care needs. I just found out today (Monday, March 16, 2009) when I called to speak to her about my contact lens.

My sympathy to Jan's family.

I know all Jans Sons .I would like to offer my heart felt condolences.

I had the pleasure of sitting directly across from Jan while working at Hummel Eye Associates for the last 6 1/2 years. To know Jan is to love Jan! She was one of the MOST giving persons I know. The mornings are quiet now, Jan was always the first person in the office after me and she was always ready to talk about OU football and basketball and we especially enjoyed talking about her grandaughter's volleyball. I already miss her greatly! I feel priveleged to have known her.

Swan Family~I worked with Jan a few years ago at Hummel Eye Associates.  She was such a sweet lady and so much fun!  What I remember most about her is her smile!  I am very sorry to hear about Jan's passing.  Please accept my deepest condolences.

Jan was my best friend in highschool. Great memories! Great friend. Thank you, Jan. All my love, Ann

FOR THE PAST 30 YRS. I HAVE HAD THE PRIVLAGE OF KNOWING JAN BOTH PERSONALLY AND IN THE OPTICAL BUISINESS. SHE WAS A DEAR FRIEND THAT ALWAYS PUT HER FRIENDS AND FAMILY FIRST. I WILL MISS HER IN MANY WAYS BUT I WILL ALWAYS KNOW SHE IS LOOKING AFTER ALL OF US. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY PROUD OF ALL HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS. YOUR FRIEND FOR LIFE, KAREN GREMILLION

My mom, Laura worked with Jan at Hummel Eye, and she always had something nice or positive to say when I saw her. I got a kick out of her flamingo collection on her desk, sometimes even helping her add to it. She was a very genuine person and had a great sense of humor. I will definitely miss seeing and talking to her.

Jan was a very genuine person. She was also very patient. It was a joy to work with her. She had a fun personality. She was so proud of her family, and enjoyed sharing about them with those of us who were fortunate enough to work with her.
