Not sure what to say?

Dear Vanden Berg Family:

Although we have sent cards and spoken on the phone, we really wanted to be a part of this Guest Book so send our condolences today via this website. We wanted you all to know how much Jan meant to us since we first met him and your family at the time of Andy and Shelley's wedding here in the Bahamas. First of all, we are so grateful for how Jan and Marianne took our daughter into their family and took such good care of her - giving her Michigan parents...

I just wanted to let you all know how sorry I am for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through, and I wasn't really sure of what to say, but I'll just write what I feel.

Boy Uncle Jan always knew how to make me laugh...he was so happy all the time, and tried to make light of any situation. I had the privilege of riding his motor bike, and you could feel every bit of pride he had in that when you were riding with him. He was so...

Dear Vandenberg Family,

I so enjoyed every opportunity to talk with Jan and just be around him. He loved you all so deeply. His Christ-like character lives large in my memory. His warmth, kindness, joy, and servant's heart along with the ever-ready smile and that twinkle in his eyes always made it a pleasure to be with him. Jan was a blessing to so many.

Dawn and I love you and we have been praying for you.

Dearest VandenBerg Family,

Our hearts broke with yours this past weekend as we spoke with you and remembered a life that touched so many so profoundly, ours included. We have been personally challenged by the testimonies we heard and saw of Mr VandenBergs pure love for people.

It seems like just a short time ago that I was talking to Andy about Jan. I met Jan so many years ago when I worked for D&W. Jan was of course the one who helped us out of trouble when the freezers started breaking down. He was always a great guy to talk to and his love for his family was always evident. Jan left a great mark on all of us by being---a great christian man.

Dear VandenBerg family:

Our prayers and thoughts are with you on this Saturday, July 29, 2006 knowing the Lord Jesus is comforting you and directing your very steps as you walk through this day.

His strength is yours and will provide all you need.

We love you.
