Not sure what to say?

To Eleanor, Harriet and Sally, It has been so many years since we have seen each other, but the memories of Jane Beale and our happy childhood years together will always be vivid. Mrs. Beale was a dear friend to my mother Elise, one of the many mothers who helped raise the N.E. 43rd St. kids, and our talented and patient piano teacher. I know she had a happy life surrounded by so many good friends, by the music she loved, and by her family. I am thinking of you all with fond memories. ...

My condolences on the loss of Jane Guthrie Beale.

The Rowan girls and the Beale girls were inseparable throughout many a summer in the 60's. How lucky we were to have had two somewhat non-traditional mothers who enjoyed us and allowed us the freedom to have so much fun. My memories of Mrs. Beale are all happy.

No one had a better Mother than I did. She was my mentor. Generous with her time for me, she was careful and clever, and always thinking of my welfare. She had a great wit, as did my Father. She was beautiful . She never gave up on me, and she has gone to our Lord in Heaven--which is a relief to know.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I was named Cynthia Jane for Aunt Jane as she was a favorite of mother and later as I grew up a very special person to me as well. I Have a lot ot live up to as her namesake and will miss her greatly, even though we lived miles apart. Take care and love to all. Cynthia
