Not sure what to say?

It's with sadness that I found this obituary only now in 2024. Jane and I were close, close friends from 7th grade through high school and much beyond. We were "at home" in both of our parental houses. My husband and I even visited in Vancouver in 2016 or so. Even though we have lived out adult lives far apart, Jane was the type of friend with whom "you can start again where you left off." Seeing this obituary floods my mind and heart with wonderful, wonderful memories cooking, biking,...

I had the pleasure of working with Jane at the rock hill evening herald in the 70s. I was sports editor and Jane was family living editor, and was so very gifted in her writing style. A real talent and a good colleague to work with. Rest in peace, dear Jane.

I was a member of Covenant Presbyterian with Jane. She would do anything asked of her and do it well. We socialized with the Clutes and have many fond memories. May the Lord bless and comfort her family.

I loved and lived for Jane´s Garden articles in the Herald. Missed them so much when she left. So sorry for your loss.

Ms. Clute was a wonderful friend to our mother Peggy Angel. One Mother's Day her column was all about my Mom and her family. Mom was thrilled and honored. Ms. Clute style was one of love and compassion and so enjoyed by all. No doubt she and Mom are catching up in heaven!!! Prayers for comfort to you all. Shari Angel Newman

A wonderful pleasure to know her. Better to have her as a friend.

RIP Jane Clute. It would have been a lost to allotted other people if you had not come to Rock Hill, SC when you did. You're helping in the cultural within this City. Has been a blessing. 70's and, until you ended the relation with The Herald. Gone but will be missed.

Jane was such a sweet lady! Made you feel like you were the only one in the room. Very kind and a beautiful spirit. Thoughtful and caring!

What a precious lady she was! The Rollins family will always cherish our memories we had with her. She loved her family dearly, and we enjoyed getting to know them as she shared them with us! We are certain she is spreading joy and beauty in heaven!
