Jane was a fierce advocate for public education and good government. Her service on the East Penn School Board was exemplary, especially in view of the tumultuous times during which she served. I always appreciated her sage advice and her pointed humor. East Penn has lost a wonderful woman who will always be remembered by her friends and acquaintances.

Jane was a beautiful soul with a sweetness that showed in her personality. I last saw her at our Class of "57" reunion. Thoughts and prayers are with her family at this sad time. Betty Harrison Bowen
