Met her at a Gordon Lightfoot concert, nice lady. Another reminder of how small we all are in the Universe. Most unfair, where is the complaint department? Jon Kube

I became friends with Jane in 1962 when we attended middle school together. In the last few years we renewed our friendship and I will always treasure the days we spent together over the last few years. She was a shining star that left us too soon but her courage and strength will always be an inspiration to me. RIP dear friend.

I remember Mrs Gardner from watching her on the local news stations . I never had the honor or privilege to meet her in person . I always enjoyed her broadcasts . She was passionate about reporting news accurately. Mrs. Gardner was always considerate and respectful of those she interviewed on television . Truly a reporter with a heart .
God Bless Her Always . My prayers are with her family and her friends .

I last saw Jane when she spoke at Chrysler Museum. She was wonderful. I have had 4 cancers and am living with kidney cancer which has spread to my lungs and liver. Jane was an inspiration to us all. She will be truly missed. So sorry you've lost her, Gary.

I watched Jane anchor the news at WTKR and WVEC for many years. Her demeanor was refreshing and listening to her was delightful. She could tell the story like no other. Oh, that smile was awesome. She was truly a warrior ❣❣❣
I pray for the comfort and guidance of all of Jane's family. Gary, thank you for sharing Jane with us and taking such good care of your bride.
Be encouraged and blessed.

I want to express my deepest condolences to Gary and Jane's family. I had the privilege of co-anchoring the 11pm news at WTKR in Norfolk with her for a number of years. Working with her was one of the highlights of my time at WTKR. She was the consummate professional and touched the lives of so many people. She will truly be missed.
