Not sure what to say?

I came across a decades-old photo of Jane just this morning, taken by a member of a group of international high school students that I was chaperoning on a trip to Boston in 1977. Even though I had not seen or had contact with her in some time, I managed to find and contact Jane when my group arrived in Boston. In typical fashion, she unhesitatingly sprang into action, found a restaurant for us, joined us for dinner, and charmed my international charges the whole evening long. One of my...

Jane was my schoolmate from kindergarten all the way through senior year of high school. We were united at Mother Seton as having come from Elizabeth public school.

How sad to hear of her passing! The last time I remember speaking to Jane was at Loraine DuBeau’s wedding many years ago so it seems strange to feel the loss of her presence in our world as I do now.

During our high school years together, I admired her ability to navigate through the turmoil of teenage...

Jane was a wonderful person. I knew her from Mother Seton. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I will always remember her kindness to me. In fact when reflecting on her, kindness is the first thing that comes to mind. Please accept my condolences on her passing.

I graduated Mother Seton with Jane. Last I spoke to her was after the 35 year reunion. I was looking forward to seeing her at the 40th. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this sorrowful time.

Dear Jane,
I will remember you always, for your contagious smile, athletic abilities and beauty. May you rest peacefully in the hands of God, and ask God to help us, left behind, accept your passing. Thanks for being a fun co-cheerleader and great swimmer. We all learned from you to be happy, kind, and friendly to all.
With love, Arlene Brown-Roscelli

Dear family and friends of Jane Shallcross:

I am sorry to hear that Jane passed away. When I went to Mother Seton, all of us had the best memories. I hope that you comfort each other and support each other at the most difficult time. My condolences to family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Jane's passing. I have known Jane since we were little kids at the the Roselle Golf Club. Our parents were good friends and golfers. I have said some Hail Mary's and will say more. I am sorry I can not make the Mass at Saint Gen's.

I remember Jane well from Mother Seton; my condolences to family and friends.

I went to high school with Jane and will always remember her beautiful eyes and her wonderful kindness to everyone. May her family find comfort in knowing that she was loved by all of her classmates at MSR.
