I did not know Jane well, but I have known her for 15 years or more and in every interaction I had with her she was kind, perceptive, thoughtful, and a genuinely lovely person. My sympathies go out to her whole family. I found this site today, so I had already made my donation to the Nature Conservancy in her name on my own.
