Not sure what to say?

We are longtime residents of Savannah and now reside in Richmond Hill, Ga. We were gifted, for our marriage in 1996, a hand-signed print of Savannah '78, by Alice Blank and Jane Lyon. It is still in it's original frame. It is wonderful. Thank you Alice and Jane.

I am surrounded by memories of Jane in my home, through her art but also so many memories of watching the Brit coms together on Fridays and Saturdays and laughing until Jane had tears in her eyes, getting up early in the morning to go take pictures of the sunrise on the water front, and so many more. I miss Jane's presence in my life.

It's really hard to believe my cousin and number one fan has been gone for 10 years. I think about her everyday as her art is found in each room, in my home. I miss talking and laughing with her; even more now that my sweet Mom is gone. Jane was an amazing woman on so many levels. I wish everyone could have met her and learned from her.

I knew Jane Lyon many years ago when I grew up in Savannah. My mother, Ruth Savage and Jane were friends. I have several of Jane's paintings that had been my mother's. I cherish them. I remember many fun and pleasant times with the family. I remember Jane's ready smile and laugh and her ability to include children into her circle of joy. Ruth Savage Campbell (Tucson,AZ)

One of the things I loved about Jane was her nonjudgmental attitude towards people and things in general. How she encouraged her students in self expression while having much fun but being serious about their art. She introduced her students to many aspects of art while the student endavored to find their true love of expression. I remember the good times of evening classes on Bay St and in her studio. Coffee in her kitchen and late dining at Johnny Harris' and a trip to Virgina Beach. She...

It sounds like Jane lived a very wonderful and intresting life. I wish I could have known her, but I will be happy to listen to stories from Clerance and Troy. My heart is with you all.

i wanted to meet jane..i will settle for the many stories shared by her family. my condolences to all. sandi deVore (charleston, sc)

My grannie's best friend. She was there, always, with me, and my very loved, grandmother. Always, with artistic pursuits. Her art was part, of ours. Her face, was, there, with my family. And we remember. Those times, with the Savannah Art Association, on river street, making things happens. That legacy, will never be, better said, or done. They, together, made things happen. Their art, was such, that, perhaps, Savannah, will not see again, for a very long time. And, she should be...

I loved my dear cousin Jane. She made the most of life and made sure everyone else laughed too. Jane always laughed at a great story until she cried. She was my biggest fan and critic of my art and encouraged me to improve my photography. Jane will be missed - to say the least.
