Read MoreIn 1994 I had Ms. Matwiejczyk for first grade. She loved teaching and she was a great teacher as well. I have kept in touch ever since and enjoyed receiving her letters. She was a great lady. Our whole class will miss her along with me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Miss Matwiejczyk was also my first grade teacher. I believe it was 1980. I, too, remember her fondly. I can still see her kind face. I was so lucky to have had her as a mentor at such a young age.

Ms. Matwiejczyk was my first grade teacher in 1964... I remember her fondly as being a nurturing and caring teacher. I believe it was her first year teaching at the Center School and to this day I can remember her face and the learning experiences she provided us during our first year in school.
