Not sure what to say?

Wow...she led a wonderful fulfilling life. My mother worked with her at VHHS and my last cat before college came from Jane. Condolences to the family.

I remember her as the librarian at Vestavia Elementary school, but it seems she was working as an aid then. I got to help in the library, but not until I learned the Dewy Decimal system. I have never forgotten her. After the beautiful service in her remembrance, it is no wonder. What force of nature she was!
And what a fitting service she was given!

We (the Loveladys) loved your Mom. I appreciate SO much the efforts that she and a few other dedicated Moms made to give their sons some culture in late 1950s Alabama. Ballet classes at your home, and French lessons at Indian Springs. I have such fond memories of everything McRae. Amanda, Robin, and Kim, take care

I have nothing but good memories of this sweet lady. Prayers for her family.

I have so many fond memories of Ms. McRae. How many people found a love of reading, or had theirs fostered through conversations with her? And what a life she lived. My sympathy to all who mourn her, especially her family and friends. I was blessed to know her.

She was a profound influence in my life, one of many teachers I was privileged to have that influenced me to love the written word. I am saddened at her loss, but my goodness, what a rich life she led, and how many thousands of lives she touched in such a positive way.

When I first moved to Alabama from California she was such a help to me. I loved books and reading and she gave me a familiar face to gravitate to. Wishing you all peace~

We are sorry to learn of the passing of Jane, but grateful for her service to our nation with the Peace Corps in Jamaica.

Our Condolences,
The National Peace Corps Association

Our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this most difficult and sad time.
