Not sure what to say?

Jane was my mom's roommate in college and they always remained in touch, even taking a trip to Great Britain together years later after I was grown. As children, my brothers and I remember Jane sending some fascinating book every year at Christmas. When I left home, Jane continued to send me a birthday card each spring and a Christmas card every year. The first omitted card this year made me know something had happened. How I will miss that distinctive handwriting regaling me with her...

Words are inadequate to explain how much we enjoyed our limited time with Jane. She was an outstanding person who left us with many happy memories. Our four children are pleased and proud to have attended three of the schools that she landscaped within the city of San Diego.

I came to know Jane while we served as members of Altrusa Club of San Diego. We shared a love of nature and she was truly an inspiring woman with her knowledge and great spirit no matter the challenges she faced. I always learned something new when Jane spoke, she was a very strong woman who I will always have fond memories of. Rest in Peace Jane, you are truly missed.

Just learned of the passing of my Dear Friend and Mentor Jane Minshall. A dedicated and loving member of San Diego Altrusa District 11 for many many years. I was a member and past president for 10 years and Jane always supported me, taught me and mentored me in my club membership. She was the knowing member who loved Altrusa and what it stood for. Jane was a firm believer of doing good for the world of nature and humanity. I will miss her.

Jane and I have been friends for over thirty years. We had so many good talks and good hikes together. She was a kind mentor and warmhearted companion and I will miss laughing with her. Her stories are stories I will tell now and I will enjoy sharing them so other people can enjoy the memories Jane has left me.

You were an inspiration to us all especially the Altrusa Club of San Diego. You will be missed and always remembered.

I will miss the too-infrequent lunches Jane and I shared this past ten years. Jane told such interesting stories about her career and family. She worked for the betterment of the living world in so many ways. We have lost an advocate for the earth with Jane's passing, but I believe that her work is being carried on by her friends, who were inspired by her.

We will miss you Jane. You always had something to share and words of wisdom.

Oh, how I'll miss our phone chats. What an extra special person you were, Jane. I'll be comforted by the example you set for all of us in the way you handled life's adversities. The memories of the happy times we spent together will also be a comfort.
