Not sure what to say?

Jane was one of three founders of Women in Thanatology (WIT), a group of women in the death, dying and bereavement field who hung out together in North Caroline for several days each summer to share our lives, mentor younger women in the field, and build bonds. Jane was witty, funny and real. I will miss her.

Dear Bethany and Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your Mother. I was lucky enough to enjoy a Brown's game with her and get to meet her. She was a real gem! I know this is a very difficult time for you but God will help you through it. She is in a much better place. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

After the death of our son Colin, Jane helped bring light to our darkness. She was truly blessed. We, among many others, are blessed to have known her.

Jane herself has now moved on to the next stage of the process. We believe that this pioneer in bereavement services, who invested so much of herself in the cause, has now gained an opportunity to observe the bereavement process from an entirely new perspective. Godspeed, Jane!

I am so very sorry to hear of Jane's passing. She was a generous and kind friend and I will miss her. She saved my life when she entered it when my first son died and continued to be my life line when the second son died. I can't say enough about her skill, her kindness, her understanding. I will also miss her great sense of humor. Jane always spoke kindly of her family and would pass on funny stories. I know she went straight to heaven for she was that special. You are in my thoughts...

Dear Nichols Family: I had the pleasure of working with Jane at Children's Hospital. She is a truly one of the most kind spirited people I know. We are a better hospital because of Jane's time here. Your mom had compassion for every person she came into contact with, it didn't matter if it was a patient or co-worker. She was there for ALL OF US! God Bless, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My sympathy for your loss. I worked with Jane in the Neonatal Office and have missed her since her retirement. She helped me through so much. So sorry to hear of her passing.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was very proud of all of you and especially her "grands". Jane was and always will be very dear friend who helped so many families over the years as well as helping the staff at CHMCA. I want to Thank You for sharing her with us over the years and know we are thinking and praying for each of you. May she rest in peace but know her love and memories will live on in each of your hearts.

My deepest sympathy for the lose of your mother. Jane was an incredible woman with deep compassion and understanding for others. Her memory will live with those she aided in their time of need.

Safe journey and rest at last, dear Jane.
