Not sure what to say?

I remember Jane. I met her, in 1962, when she became a member of the Dayton Urban League Guild. Jane was an outstanding, quiet and effective leader. Along with her husband, Pat, she was determined to make a difference in the Dayton community. Today it is the celebration of Jane Patterson. As we know her she was a very warm person and I still remember that phone call I made to the hotel in Vadstena Sweden, when I first talked to her. This was in 1982. During the years she send gifts to our boys and wrote letters now and then to keep in touch with the Trygg family in Sweden. Your visit in Sweden with Bill, Dan and Birgitta was inspiring to keep the relation alive.
We love you over there.

Urban and...

Jane's extraordinary life leaves memories far too impressive to forget. I knew her as a wonderful person, quiet community leader, maverick for social justice, a gracious and best friend. Most of all, she was the best among kindred spirits.
To her husband Bill and their three sons, Dan, Bill and Tom: In company with all of us who love you, may your treasured memories give you strength and comfort.
You are in my prayers.
Ruth W. Burgin

My love and prayers go out to the whole family. Jane was a grandmother tomy sisters Jan and Sr. Angela and myself.
I will always remember our evening chats andpierogi dinners when we visited. Her smile and bright eyes were always welcoming.
