Jane Perry Obituary
Sep. 26, 1930 - Nov. 5, 2013
Jane Ream Perry, 83, passed away at The Summit at Venice in Venice, FL on November 5, 2013 as a result of pancreatic cancer. She was born September 26, 1930 in Baltimore, OH to Howard and Mary (Camp) Dumond.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother John; sister Joan Wagner; and niece Karen Rauck. Her first husband, Herbert Loy Ream passed away in 1982 and second husband, James W. Perry in 2009.
She is survived by nieces Keitha (Jack)Lane and Judy (Roger) Zwayer and a nephew, Max (Dawn) Wagner. Also surviving include a great nephew Hunter (Stephanie) Lane, Brittani and Shelby; and great nieces, Windy Wagner and Joanna (John Ratliff) Lane. Her extended family include Jack (Beth) Perry, Heather, Jackie and Jayce; Bart (Stephanie) Bethel, Abbey and Emma; and Rod and Sandra Weatherwax.
Jane graduated from Liberty Union High School and received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from Central Michigan University. She taught school in Michigan, Ohio and Florida where she was also a real estate broker/salesman.
Jane was a fifty-three year member of the OES #124, The American Association of University Women and the Grove City Methodist Church.
She also was a resident director at Central Michigan University and Marietta College.
Jane loved to travel, play chess and read. The Isle of Venice was her favorite place to live as she could walk to the beach, the inter-coastal waterway, all the shops, restaurants, and the community theatre. She enjoyed her time at The Summit where she participated in many activities and enjoyed the time with many friends.
The family would like to thank all those at The Summit for their love and care during this time and a special thank you to Tidewell Hospice as well as Dr. Heather McCullough.
Burial took place at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Lancaster, OH.
