Not sure what to say?

I have walked by that tombstone at Forest Hill Cemetery many times (on Geddes Ave.), as well as that house on Oswego! Our family just read about her passing in the August issue of the Ann Arbor Observer!

Hi Pilchers- Bob and I send our condolences to all of you on the loss of your Mom. What a great life she had! She was one of our parents friends that we always loved seeing and catching up with. She was so interested in what you were doing. I never knew her to be angry or too busy to stop and talk. My Mom is 90 and lives in a memory care home near me in South Bend. We were privileged to spend time with Millie´s incredible friend Jane (Grandma P!) during several visits to Ann Arbor, and loved sharing with her the happy role of grandparent of our delightful grandson, Bo. He had marvelous times with her, loved her dearly, and misses her so much, but has memories he will always treasure.

I only knew Jane when she was at Glacier Hills, and our Delta Gamma alumnae group went out to lunch together. After a fun time, I realized that The Ann Arbor News had published many of Jane's recipes and I had saved them. I was impressed! Another talent of hers!

Jane was the heartbeat of Oswego Street. She shared her joy of life, her ready smiles, and was so generous with her time with our family. A tree fell on our home while we were away, Jane let us know, contacted DTE and it was all cleaned up by the time we could return. Her hospitality from Oswego Street, to her apartment at Glacier Hills with our family was a delight. Her secret room in the basement, and open door policy with free Popsicles is the stuff of Oswego legend. She will always...

Jane was such a special person......so cheerful....so very kind. She had a great sense of humor. Jane was very special. Pat Benedict

Rest In Peace Janie
