Jane Robinson, a resident of Reading, MA for 68 years, died June 16, 2023. She was 96 years of age. Jane was born in Little Falls, New Jersey on July 17, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Van Stratton and Margaret O'Brien.
Jane loved being a mother and was very proud of the fact that she had 10 children. She was an accomplished seamstress, working in a famous design house in New York City. She was also a passionate artist, working in all mediums, presenting in several art shows, and having her own art exhibit in Wilmington, MA at the age of 90 years. She sold many paintings, and continued to paint up until her death.
Jane was the Beloved wife of the late Ralph J Robinson. Devoted mother of Margaret A Freeman and her husband Robert, Nancy E Holden and her husband Keith, all of Florida, Joan M Munroe of Lowell, Michael J Robinson of Norwood, Ma, Matthew S Robinson and his wife Yon Suk of WA, Paul V Robinson and his wife Kelley of Methuen, and the late Ralph J, Stephen E, and James M Robinson, and the late Suzanne L Foster. She was the Loving grandmother of 17 and great grandmother of 24.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St (corner of Woburn St) in Reading from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Her funeral services and burial are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jane's memory to Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill St., Reading, MA 01867.
