I taught with Jane at Albion Elementary School...not so long ago. She was the authority on all grammar questions and a respected, dedicated teacher. Known to be a strict disciplinarian, Jane knew the value of respect for learning. Jane was a true professional and I still look up to her as an example, as I presently teach fifth grade in Berea.

As a long time career teacher in North Royalton City Schools, Jane Sharkey touched many lives. I remember that long past typical retirement time, Mrs. Sharkey remained in the classroom as a vital force in the education of the children of North Royalton. Jane and I shared 33 years of Volunteer Work at Parma Community Hospital. Jane and I also shared the same birthdate -- year and date!
