To the family of my most beloved teacher, Mrs. Jane Swayne – I will always remember walking into her room with the sunbeam bread bags tied together around the room. She was the epitome of a teacher who taught students to love to learn. I have held every teacher I have ever had to the standards that she taught with and the same goes for my children's teachers. It is very rare to find someone as special as her. The twinkle in her eyes even when she was stern. She knew you could do better...

I was a school secretary at Elizabeth Green School in the 1970's, and Jane was that very special kind of teacher that every child wishes to have.

Mrs. Swayne was the most kind, gentle and loving teacher you could ever had hoped for. Indeed, she was "Mother" to every child that ever sat in her classroom.

Your entire family can take comfort in the knowledge that their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother personally touched the lives of so many with her knowledge and...

When I was in her class she always told me I was her favorite citizen. Until this day I have always remembered that. Small words that touched my life.

Mrs. Sway e was my most favorite teacher! I can still picture her first grade classroom at Elizabeth Green in 1979! She has left an impression on my heart that will never fade!
