Not sure what to say?

It's time for the annual spring flower shows at MHC and Smith-- still miss you Jane. No one is left for me to discuss metamorphosis with. What a lovely, welcoming supportive friend you've been.

Jane was a special lady. Knowing her and visiting her in Woods Hole are constant reminders of what it is to be passionate about a particular interest. She will certainly be remembered as a gracious hostess at the top of the hill on Silver Street.

Jane was a long time friend of our family. My father - Dr.Floyd Wiercinski - and Jane were long time friends with frequent conversations throughout the years and always summer get togethers in Woods Hole.
Jane was the most gracious woman and always cheerful - providing a great conversation always served with ice cream!
My family and I will miss you Jane.

Woods Hole

I wrote this blog several years ago when reflecting on my life as a woman in science. The impact that Jane had on my future as a scientist, and more importantly, as a friend can never be replicated. I will miss her tremendously.

Jane and family at Woods Hole

Jane was our neighbor in Woods Hole from 1996 til 2014. She was well know and well liked/loved by Woods Hollians as she spent many summers here doing scientific research at the Marine Biological Lab.
She will be missed by all.

I have fond memories of sharing cocktails and tidbits that Jane prepared whenever she invited me and other scientists to her home in Woods Hole. We sat around a small metal table in the shade of a gigantic tree.

Jane was a lovely neighbor, always incredibly sweet and kind. We will miss her smile and determination.
