Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. - Lemont Obituary

Jane F. Tyranski, age 75 of Lemont, IL, entered into everlasting life on Friday, January 22. Beloved wife and best friend of Frederick for 52 years; loving mother of Frederick, Steven (Sheri), and Catherine (Anthony) Garza; cherished grandmother of Steven, Elizabeth, Alexander, Kathryn, Nicholas, and Megan; dear sister to John (the late Barbara) Permantier, Mary (Larry) Bragiel, and Chris Cotteleer; dear sister-in-law to Nancy Tyranski; dear aunt to many; preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine and John Permantier, and her sister, Claudia (Don) Ariano.

Jane was a loving wife and mother who treasured her family, showing them what it meant to have a strong, loving, generous spirit. She especially enjoyed her role as “G-ma,” shamelessly spoiling her grandchildren. She valued her relationships with her siblings, family, and friends. Jane was known for her sense of humor and gift of storytelling, and she would spend countless hours making loved ones laugh until they cried at her hilarious tales.

She always kept an open door for those in need. If someone was alone on the holidays or needed a place to stay, Jane always made sure they were included in the festivities and had gifts to open. She truly had a heart of gold.

Jane was a talented painter and crafter who loved collecting beautiful things. She had a knack for decorating and created a festive home atmosphere full of seasonal treasures for every holiday. Jane was also a skilled event planner, always making the guests of honor feel special with her inventive decorations, party favors, invitations, games, food, and thoughtful gifts.

Jane will be dearly missed by everyone who felt the warmth of her love, her laughter, her stories, and her selfless generosity.

A small memorial service will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31 at Markiewicz Funeral Home in Lemont, IL.

In lieu of flowers, loved ones may make a donation in Jane’s honor to the charity of their choice. For more information, please contact Markiewicz Funeral Home at 630-257-6363 or www.markiewiczfh.com.

Not sure what to say?

Jane was a fun and generous person. A favorite memory is when we sat at a table at a family gathering, continuing to dress dolls long after the children had left us to go play outside. Her stories always brought lots of laughter. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

My deepest sympathies to all of your family, I know they are missing you terribly. I love you and will miss you always, Janie-girl. You’re my dearest friend, we had so much fun and laughed more than any two friends had a right to. Heaven is blessed to have you, as I know our Lord and Savior will agree. I’m so looking forward to seeing you again when I get there.
Rest In Peace, dear friend. You’ve earned it.

To all of Janes family I would like to offer my deepest sympathy. Being a friend of Mary Bragiel since Kindergarten, I knew Jane when we were younger. I would have to say she was one of the funniest people I’ve ever known. She will be missed.

To my dearest sister, Jane,
It is with heavy heart that I am writing this message. God called you home way too early!
You were a loving, generous, and supportive friend and a role model for me. You were always there for me when I needed someone to confide in. I was very fortunate to have an older sister like you.
Even though you are no longer here, you will always be with me in my heart.
May the Lord always hold you in the strength of His arms.
Your loving sister,

What an honor to know and love her. She was one in a million. I am so saddened by her demise and will miss her. I love you Aunt Jane and know that you were loved by everyone who knew you.
