Not sure what to say?

always enjoyed playing bridge with JANELLE

She was my kindergarten teacher (as well as my two sisters and brothers). We all lived her. I am 56 years old and still remember her as a kind, funny, caring and interesting teacher. I remember her putting her ear or hand to our bellies and guessing what we had eaten for breakfast. I remember our tables always set up with interesting objects to explore and I even remember getting in a little trouble when I got caught making ghost with tissues during nap time. She was always gentle and never...

My sincere condolences to her family and friends. Janelle was a lovely lady who was a good friend of my mothers, Barb Wojcik. They would meet several times a month at their `ladies luncheons´. All the ladies loved to get together to share delicious meals and chatter. Janelle and my mom share the same birthday, March 11th, and now they will celebrate this year in heaven together.

I have very few memories from back then, but I remember Ms. Buckner being kind. I remember I enjoyed going to school at Porter Elementary in the early 1970's in large part because of her.

So sorry for your loss. She was a dear friend of my self and my husband who worked with her. We spent many Halloween nights with her and our children.

My daughter had her for kindergarten at Orchard Drive Elementary School. She was a wonderful teacher. All the kids (parents too) loved her. May she rest in peace. So sorry for your loss.

Ms. Buckner was a beautiful woman inside and outside. I loved when we had the opportunity to talk. Her stories were inspiring. She will be missed.

My brother, sister and I had Ms Buckner to start our educations at Gene Stratton Porter in early seventies. She made learning fun and interesting. From story time on the carpet and songs around the piano to art at the tables and the dreaded "thinking chair´. She was a great educator.

On behalf of the RCHTF members and myself, our deepest sympathies
