AMICK, Janet (Campbell) In Nashua, NH, formerly of Grantham, NH, Jan. 28 at age 90. Wife of the late Charles L. Amick and mother of the late Dr. Charles J. Amick. Survived by two daughters, former Massachusetts State Senator Carol Amick-Moonan of Bedford and Joan Toomey of Carmel, IN; seven grandchildren, Janet Moonan of Somerville, MA, William Moonan of Tullahoma, TN, David and Christopher Toomey of Carmel, IN, Scott Toomey of Mason, OH, and Alexandra and Charles Amick of Cambridge, England; and three great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the Charles J. Amick Memorial Lectures in Applied Mathematics of the University of Chicago Department of Mathematics, 5734 S. University Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637.

Thank you for letting me know about your mother. I am enormously fond of her. We shared many good times together, through IES, all over the United States. We had a mutual fan club. My love goes out to you & your family.

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to know a little bit of Jan and Charlie during my time at Lake Sunapee Bank's Grantham Office. Every time I see a little red Saab I remember the day Jan bought hers. They were both wonderful people. My condolences to the family.
