John,
I am so saddened by this news. My heartfelt sympathy to you and the many who hold her dear. Janet and I were in the same doctoral cohort at the University. I will always remember her kindness, sincere and warm friendship, her creativity, and true passion for her work with teachers.
May you one day find peace in memories of your wonderful years together.

To the Bossange and Hermsmeier Families:

I wanted to share my condolences for the loss of a friend and a mentor, Dr. Janet Bossange. As one of her student interns, she was always very friendly, encouraging, and supportive. As a student from the South, she always made sure that I was taking care of myself and that I always stayed focused on the goal of receiving my master's degree. For her support and encouragement, I will forever be grateful. May God continue to bless you...

My deepest condolences to the family of Janet. She was one of my most memorable teachers at the University of Vermont because of her kindness and warm smile. She was always encouraging and supportive. She will be missed by many. Take heart that she touched so many people so tremendously.

John - we have been your seatmates on your left, at VSO for the past several years and always looked forward to talking with Janet and you during breaks. We are shocked and saddened to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad and difficult time.

John, our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.

John, you are in our hearts. People will never forget how Janet made them feel. Her presence always brought the sun into ADL. Her support for my art program was as uplifting as her warm smile.
Janet's accomplishments are a testimony to your life together.
John, you do not walk through these sad times alone. There is no past tense to love.
Our thoughts and prayers are there with you.
