Not sure what to say?

I think of you often. R.I.P. my sweet friend.

I met Janet through a mutual friend who worked for her and the SCA at the Renaissance Festival back in 1991. Janet kept her flock in line, but wasn't too stern about it. Fun times, and through Janet's SCA/Renaissace Festival work, I met quite a few friends and those friendships have endured throughout the years. Thank you, Janet, and may you rest in peace. We'll miss you.

It was about 20 or so years ago that the Elf introduced me to the SCA and Janet and the Renaissance program. At first I was a little hesitant about working and enjoying the SCA because of my Texas accent. But Janet made me feel comfortable and part of an extended family. She encouraged me to have fun with it and spread the joy. She had established such a great reputation for the SCA at TRF that it lasted for many years. You will be missed, dear friend.

Janet always had a wonderful spirit and I loved seeing her every year at T.R.F. Generous, funny and kind, I know that many more will miss her presence. I am very glad I've had the opportunity to know her and appreciate her.

Janet was one of the first people I met outside of Bonwicke and made a great impression on me as to what a Lady could do in the SCA if she set her mind to it. My husband often speaks of time he spent with her and Tel while he lived in the Houston area.

I did not get to know Lady Janet nearly as well as I would have liked. You always think there will be plenty of time.
I first met her when I came down to the Houston area to be authorized to ride in SCA events. She was always kind, friendly and helpful. I have a picture of her with one of the horses in full gear. I think of it whenever I think of her.
She was a very special Lady and will be sorely missed.

Janet was one of the first, if not the first, women fighters I met when I joined the SCA 28 years ago. I loved learning from her, whether it be SCA history or a new skill. We spent hours at RenFaire talking and visiting, as we also did at many events. As others have said, I can't think of TRF without seeing her face.

When the King raised a toast to "absent friends" last night at the feast, I burst into tears. She will be missed. Hopefully she has located our other absent friends...
