Not sure what to say?

David, Ric, Christina: I'm thinking of your gold star family this weekend. I stopped by the graves in West Pittston Cemetery and visited your dad's name on The Wall last night. As a family you sacrificed much and your parents' legacy is remembered this Memorial Day.

David, Ric, Christina, I remember your mom as a very giving person. I am so honored to have had the pleasure of getting to know the whole family many year ago. I will pray it will get easier and be replaced with the beautiful memories you all shared. She will always be in your heart and will always watch over you. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I will always hold happy memories of Janet and the whole family. Those years will always remain in my heart. God Bless you all.

I remember Janet Coates as a strong woman with a generous nature. I knew her, because her daughter, Chrissy, was in my 4-H Club. She volunteered at various places, where I attended! She will be missed! My deepest sympathy goes out to her family!

We are friends of the Albertson's in Benton, KY and have the highest respect for them and their family. Our prayers are with all the loved ones of Mrs. Coates and we share a common military background with common sacrifices for our country. The loss of one of our immediate family brings memories of shared times, happy events, great fellowship and family history. Lost but never forgotten, loved and always remembered. Chrissy, Brad, Eran and Ian Albertson we love you.

David, Ric, and Chrissy, I'm sorry to hear of your mother's passing. While walking through the West Pittston Cemetery a few years ago, I came upon your father's grave and researched him through "The Wall" (vvmf.org). On a recent trip to DC, I visited his name on The Wall. Thank you for your sacrifices as a family. My condolences on the passing of your mother.

My condolences to the family. I remember Mrs Coates during my childhood having a smile and a caring heart.

My father, Frank, was one of Sterling's good friends. I remember, as a boy, attending Sterling's Memorial Service with my dad and seeing your mom grieving the loss of her young husband. Our thoughts are with you at this time.
