Not sure what to say?

Sorry for your loss, for our loss. I wish I would´ve been notified. I would´ve loved to be with you during the visitation. My sister Julie was Leah`s mother.

Belated but sincere condolences to your family. Janet was clearly a lovely lady and I know you miss her. I am a third cousin, seeking descendants of Neal and Bengta (aka Elizabeth) Nelson. Bengta was the sister of my great-grandma Hanna Svensdotter (aka Peterson) Gustafson. If your family is interested in genealogy, you can find their profiles at wikitree.com with ancestry traced back into Sweden. I would love to hear from you.

Teleflora's Purest Love Bouquet

Jan was a wonderful christian woman. I remember her fondly from preschool and church. My sympathy to you Pastor Cordes and to the entire family.

I was lucky enough to know Jan for a brief but wonderful while and the statement that "unconditional love guided her life" showed everytime we spoke. She was full of beautiful stories, wise advice, and comfort. Prayers for her family in this time and know that more unconditional love will always be sent out in her honor.

Janet was truly a special lady. She had such a warm, loving, kindness towards everyone..She was a gift to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She was a blessing to everyone....and a good friend of my mother and father.

Growing up in Manistee has wonderful memories, particularly because of people like Jan, mom to my good pal and classmate Dave. She was always such a kind soul when we played at their "6-0-fun" house! I'm just glad I was able to help celebrate her birthday with family members there in 2019. A final memory of her that's now even more special for me.

Jan was a very kind and loving woman. She always had a kind word to say and we always ended up talking about music and grandkids. Even though she and Dar had health issues, they always cared more about others and what they may be going through. She loved Manistee and fondly pointed visitors to local eateries and stores where she knew they would be treated well. We were blessed to have known her (and Dar). You will all be in our heartfelt thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Cordes holds a special place in my childhood memories. She has remained a family friend to my siblings and parents throughout all of these years. I am extremely grateful to have been touched by such a beautiful soul. Sending much love to her family
