Not sure what to say?

The world is enriched by books and libraries and the people who find, catalog and preserve them. Many think the internet contains the sum of all knowledge but we know better. Janet leaves a legacy that will serve students and scholars for generations. On a personal note, since I was an only child, Janet was the closest thing I will ever have to a sister. Janet is the cute little one

I am very saddened by the news of Janet's passing. She was a dear colleague and friend for the many years we worked together at the UM Library. I loved hearing of her work and stories of her travels. Her keen mind and wonderful, sometimes wicked, wit are just a few of the many things I loved about her and will miss. I am thankful for our friendship. I was deeply impressed by the digitization projects at the University of Michigan Library...

Many of us learned of Janet's passing at the ASEEES conference in Boston. It came as a shock, only softened by our collective sadness and by memories of Janet and all that she did to strengthen our discipline. Janet was generous with her time, utterly devoted to the advancement of Slavic librarianship and libraries, and a font of...
