Janet I. Deegan, 94, of Lower Saucon Twp. died Monday, May 23, 2022 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She is the wife of the late Edward J. Deegan, Sr., who died April 2, 2013. Janet was born in Lower Saucon Twp. on May 1, 1928 to the late Edgar and Emily (Rinker) Clauser. She is a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. Janet enjoyed gardening and everything dealing with crafts especially ceramics. She was active in Quilt and Card Clubs. Janet was past president of the Se-Wy-Co Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

SURVIVORS: Children: Edward J., Jr. (Lisa), Patrick J. (Chrystal), David T. (Carylann Graham) all of Bethlehem, John P. (Donna Braslow) of Hellertown; grandchildren: Tabitha, Jessica and Courtney. Predeceased by siblings: Glenda Beitler, Edgar, Jr. and David Royce Clauser.

SERVICE: Family and friends are invited to call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street – Hellertown followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. We are deeply saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. She was the epitome of a good and loving mother. No one could have done a better job of raising four great sons. We were all blessed to have shared her presence here on earth and she will be truly missed. The happy times we shared together will be with us forever. Thanks for the memories Janet.

David, I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I hope God comforts you and your family and reminds you of the wonderful memories you've shared with her. From her obituary, she sounds like a remarkable woman.

John, I am sorry to see your mother has passed. I lost my mom back in '91 and can sympathize. I hope you can have peace of mind knowing that she is at peace.

My heart is so sad losing Janet. She was so very special to me. We shared so much and we truly enjoyed each other, whether it was out shopping, going to the library or just watching a game show together. My deepest sympathy for her wonderful family.
